Celtics beat the Los Angeles Lakers 131-92 in Game 6 at the TD BankNorth Garden to win the team’s 17th title. Led by their new “Big Three” of Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Paul Pierce, the team won 66 games during the regular season, 42 more than the previous year and the biggest turnaround in NBA history. In the Eastern Conference finals, beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 97-92 in game 7, with Paul Pierce scoring 41 points and Lebron James of the Cavs scoring 45 at the TD BankNorth Garden on May 18, 2008.
